SCHOOL VISITS
Meet Author
Thomas H. Sarc
Treat your students to an unforgettable school visit with children’s author and award winning poet Thomas Sarc!
Hosting an author visit is one of the best things you can do for your students because it connects kids to books in a way much more powerful than simply reading and sharing them can. It gives kids an appreciation of the process that creates the book. It offers the students the opportunity to interact with someone who has made writing a very important part of his life.
Long Island Author Thomas Sarc makes a fun and exciting day for everyone with a discussion of his new book, My Dog’s World. The content of the presentation will vary depending on the age category of the audience but, in general, Mr. Sarc will discuss how and why he wrote the book and how to get ideas to write about. He will stress the importance of writing down ideas and teach students to "think outside the box."
Mr. Sarc is working on numerous other book projects including a Science How and Why series. Mysteries such as how do pencil erasers work and what causes brain freeze are just two of the programs offered. Ask about an author visit for these subjects or...
